Alice Dalo
Alice Dalo obtained her Bachelors of Science in Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior at the University of California, Davis. She was a Research Associate at the UC Davis West Coast Metabolomics Center, where she analyzed the metabolic profiles of an array of clinical and biomedical samples through GC-MS. She also led an analysis of in-silico fragmentation techniques in maximizing compound identification, which is in preparation for submission. She presented her findings at the first annual MANA conference in 2019.
She was also a co-founder of Virtual Podium, a weekly platform established to promote a sense of community and opportunity for scientific engagement during COVID-19. This included facilitating learning opportunities about compelling scientific research fields centered biology, chemistry and informatics.
She is currently a first year medical student at Northeast Ohio Medical University, and hopes to continue contributing to the ‘Omics’ field in Precision Medicine as a student and future physician.
