Womxn in Metabolomics (WomiX) was established to promote the professional development and engagement of womxn in Metabolomics through creating a sense of community and providing opportunities for networking and mentorship. WomiX is committed to the advancement of womxn in Metabolomics.
Using “womxn” with an “x” in order to explicitly welcome trans women, transfeminine, genderfluid, and nonbinary participants. Everyone is welcome to our community! Who we are We are a team of womxn dedicated to promote collaboration between researchers in the field of metabolomics. Our committee includes early-career and experienced scientists across North America. This interest group of the Metabolomics Association of North America (MANA) is chaired by Arpana Vaniya. We had our first workshop as part of the Early Career Forum during the 1st annual MANA conference, November 15-17, 2019 and a second (online) meeting during MANA 2020, September 15, 2020. What we do The WomiX group provides members with resources to improve networking and engagement with other womxn metabolomics researchers. We organize events, host a mentorship program and have a dedicated email list and Slack channel to provide information to members. How can you participate? Please sign up to join our email list and/or Slack channel to receive information about upcoming events and WomiX activities. More information about our mentorship program can be found here. |
